Canada Day 2017 In Orangeville

super dogs show

Canada Day 150 (2017) will be a special day in Orangeville, with several performances by the President’s Choice® SuperDogs at the Alder Street Recreation Centre. The President’s Choice® SuperDogs have been featured widely and have appeared on television networks throughout North America and will be a sure bet for some great entertainment for the entire family on the July 1st holiday.

There will be 3 half hour shows of the SuperDogs; the first at 12:30, the next at 2:00 pm and the final performance will be at 3:30. These will definitely be performances you will not want to miss by these highly acclaimed and highly trained dogs.

In addition to the President’s Choice® SuperDogs, there will be a number of other events going on at the Alder Street complex including face painting, free family swims, rock climbing and much more, with the day’s events beginning at 12 Noon.

In the evening, the celebrations will move to the Island Lake Conservation Area with a performance by the locally loved The Campfire Poets band. Always great and always entertaining, The Campfire Poets deliver great music to appreciative crowds where ever they are performing – and they’ve done a lot of that! They can cover a wide genre of musical styles and will have you singing, dancing and probably tapping your feet.

The band will begin their gig at about 6 pm at the Amphitheater at Island Lake and will play on until 9 pm. You’ll definitely be calling for an encore if you’re out to hear them.

At ten pm, the skies over Island Lake will be lit up with fireworks and if past years are anything to go by, it will be an impressive display! The best viewing will be from inside Island Lake Conservation Area, but you’ll get a fine view standing along the path on the west side of Highway 10 or at Rotary Park.

It will be a great day and with many great ways to celebrate Canada Day in Orangeville!
